How long does the credentialing process take?
Most facilities are credentialed within 7–10 business days. Hospitals requiring a site visit may take up to 14 business days. We prioritize urgent applications from facilities serving high-need populations.
Is there a fee to join the Synora Health Network?
There is no upfront fee to apply or join. Synora operates on a transaction-based model where a small administrative fee is deducted from claims payments. This covers platform operations, staff, and technology maintenance.
Can a facility submit claims for multiple payers through Synora?
Yes. One of Synora's key advantages is multi-payer functionality. Once contracted, you can submit claims to all insurers, employer health funds, and NGO health programs that are part of the Synora ecosystem through a single portal.
What if my claims are rejected?
Synora provides a structured appeals process. If a claim is rejected, you receive a detailed reason code and the option to submit supporting documentation or request a clinical review. Appeals must be submitted within 30 days of rejection. Our average appeals resolution time is 7 business days.
Do I need any special software or equipment?
No special hardware is required. The Synora provider portal is web-based and accessible on any device with an internet connection. For facilities with limited connectivity, we also offer USSD eligibility verification and batch claim submission via email.
Can pharmacies and diagnostic centers join without a full clinical license?
Yes. Pharmacies, diagnostic labs, and diagnostic imaging centers have their own licensing track. We require a valid pharmacy/lab operating license from the relevant authority (Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority or Regional Health Bureau), along with standard registration documents.
